Voice Geographic Permissions in Talkyto
Talkyto uses your connected Twilio account to make and receive voice calls. To ensure that calls work globally (or only in specific regions), you need to configure Voice Geographic Permissions in your Twilio account.
What Are Voice Geographic Permissions?
Voice Geographic Permissions determine which countries or regions your Twilio numbers are allowed to call. If a destination is not enabled in your Twilio settings, Talkyto won’t be able to complete calls to that region — even if your setup in Talkyto is correct.
To enable calling to a specific country via Talkyto App:
- Navigate to Settings and select Voice.
- Within the Voice settings, locate and click on Voice Geographic Permissions.
- From there, select the country or countries you wish to enable for outgoing calls.
This configuration ensures that your account is authorized to place calls to the selected regions.
How to Configure Geographic Permissions in Twilio
- Log in to your Twilio Console
- Go to Voice → Settings → Geo Permissions.
- You’ll see lists for: Outbound Voice, SIP, International Permissions
- Enable the countries or regions you want your Talkyto calls to reach.
- Save your settings.
*Enable only the countries you truly need to reduce fraud risk and stay in control of your call spending.
