I’m not receiving OTP (one-time password) messages in Talkyto. Is Talkyto blocking these messages?
No — Talkyto does not block or filter any OTP (one-time password) messages.
All SMS and voice message deliveries in Talkyto are handled by our Twilio.
If your OTP messages are not being received, this issue is usually related to Twilio’s message filtering or carrier-level restrictions, not Talkyto.
Why This Happens
Twilio and local carriers have strict filtering rules to prevent spam, fraud, or automated traffic.
In some cases, these filters can mistakenly block legitimate OTP or verification messages, especially if they come from unverified or international numbers.
Common causes include:
- Twilio’s automated spam or content filtering
- Carrier restrictions on short codes or alphanumeric sender IDs
- High message volume or unregistered sender numbers
What You Can Do
If you experience issues with OTP message delivery:
- Contact Twilio Support – since they can investigate and resolve filtering or delivery issues.
- Provide Twilio with message details, including: Timestamp, Sender and recipient numbers, Message SID (if available)
Twilio’s support team can review message delivery reports and clarify why a specific OTP message was blocked or delayed.
Summary
- Talkyto does not block OTP messages.
- Twilio manages message delivery and filtering.
- For resolution, please contact Twilio Support directly with message details.
