Talkyto 8.4.0 – Call Hold, Smarter Messages, and Voicemail Made Easy

Talkyto 8.4.0 is a feature-packed update that brings call hold functionality, smarter messaging, a faster app launch, and a more intuitive way to manage your voicemails — plus a wide range of reliability fixes across the board.

New Features

  • Call Hold

You can now put an active call on hold directly from the call screen. When a call is placed on hold, both sides are muted and the other party hears hold music. This is especially useful when you need a moment to look something up or consult a colleague before continuing the conversation.

  • Contact Name Display for Incoming Messages

When you receive an incoming message, Talkyto now displays the contact name instead of just the phone number. The app checks both your local contacts and business contact lists to identify the sender, making it easier to recognize who's messaging you at a glance.

  • Swipe to Delete Voicemails

Managing voicemails just got faster. You can now swipe left on any voicemail in the list to delete it instantly — no need to open the details screen first. This also works for zero-length voicemail entries that previously couldn't be removed.

  • Faster App Loading

We've significantly improved the app startup time. The splash screen now loads faster, getting you to your calls and messages with less waiting.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Improvements to SMS notification delivery when the app is in the foreground.
  • Better synchronization between Talkyto Business and the Talkyto App for contact lists and Verified Caller IDs.
  • Enhanced Dark Mode readability.
  • Numerous UI refinements for a smoother, more polished experience.
