How to Configure Voice Settings in Talkyto
In the Talkyto app, you have full control over your Voice configuration to send or receive calls/voicemails.
How to Access Voice Settings
- Log in to your Talkyto app.
- Go to the “Settings” in the bottom menu.
- Open the “Voice” section to manage your voice configuration.
Available Voice Configuration Options:
Phone number Settings
- Check that your number is properly configured with Talkyto (Settings icon on the right, there you can also enable "Record calls" option)
- Also, check that your default number is selected and that "Allow incoming calls" checkbox is checked
- The voicemail checkbox is optional - it depends on the user's wishes
Voicemail configuration
Set your own voicemail greeting message and voice.
Refresh phone numbers
If you have recently purchased a new phone number via Twilio, click "Refresh" to update and sync your number list.
Update Voice Credentials
Experiencing issues with incoming or outgoing calls? Tap "Update Voice Credentials" to resolve configuration problems.
This action updates your Twilio TwiML Apps, VoIP Mobile Push Credentials, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) credentials.
Update Incoming Configuration
If you are encountering issues with incoming calls, ensure that your Twilio Incoming Configuration is up to date.
Update Outgoing Configuration
For problems with outgoing calls, update your Twilio Outgoing Configuration accordingly.
Enable Number Selection for Calls
Turn on the option to select a number during the call screen for one-off calls.
This feature is especially helpful if your account includes multiple phone numbers.
*Before making any call, make sure that your "Voice Geographic Permissions" are properly set in Twilio (you can check them also in the Talkyto app).
*In order to make or receive calls it you will need to have upgraded Twilio account, for trial Twilio accounts, calls won't work
